Who is responsible

What we collect

  • Server logs. Like every web server, ours records technical data for each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the browser's user-agent and the referring page. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure, and they are deleted automatically after a short period. [OWNER: confirm the hosting provider's log retention period]
  • Email. If you write to us, we receive your address and your message, and use them only to answer you.
  • Your browser's local storage. If you choose whether to load booking calendars, the site remembers that choice in your own browser (localStorage, key lm-cc), and it remembers in the browser session whether you closed the booking bar. This stays on your device and is never sent to us.

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, social-media pixels, newsletters or user accounts.

GetYourGuide

Booking links and booking calendars come from GetYourGuide, our affiliate partner.

  • When you click a booking link, you leave our site. What happens next is governed by GetYourGuide's privacy policy.
  • The booking calendars are loaded from GetYourGuide's servers when they scroll into view, unless you chose "No calendars" in the cookie notice. Loading them shares your IP address and browser data with GetYourGuide, and GetYourGuide may set its own cookies. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under Canada's PIPEDA, Québec's Law 25 or the EU/UK GDPR) you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Since we hold almost nothing beyond emails you send us, the simplest route is to write to info@lakeminnewanka.cruises.
